In the last days, a Twenty-20 world cup in cricket was organized in South Africa. Although all the matches were thrilling & interesting but two Semifinals & a Final caused a shivering sensation to the lovers of cricket, the Semifinals were between India Vs Australia & Pakistan Vs New Zealand & the final was between India & Pakistan. These matches were a centre of excitement for the public. reason was that a TV channel company has bought all the rights to telecast it. It simply means that only that TV channel can telecast these matches that have got rights to telecast the cricket World Cup. If we talk about the countries of Southern Asia, especially India, Pakistan & Bangladesh, we see that most of its population lives in villages. Those people mostly lack the television ownership. Generally the national programmes are telecast on their TV sets. Whereas the only private channel that has got the rights to telecast the World Cup, can't be received unless there is a cable network. If there is no cable network, the dish available in the market, being sold by many companies can be made use of to watch the matches. But all these things whether cable network or dish can only be made available by the rich people or by the dwellers of the cities. As it was observed that on one side, there was a final match between the traditional cricket rivals India & Pakistan, being fought in the playground & on the other side, the common people were craving to watch the final on their TVs. This match was not being telecast by the Indian Doordarshan. Undoubtedly, the electronic media & different TV channels have molded themselves in the globalization. It is also true that profession can't be linked with the feelings. But, can this so called professionalism, ban the rights of watching a thrilling match of players of one's own country? Can the rule of telecast not be liberalized to the extent that the people of the country, whose players are playing the match to see it? Or the national TV channel is available for the people of the country? If there can't be such a setup then what else can it be called but only a planned conspiracy against the people of that country? Clearly this electronic media aroused the interest of the people by its open telecast in the beginning. When the people became habitual of inebriation, some professionals deprived them to watch by buying the rights to telecast. This professional maneuvering means that if someone wants to watch the match, he must arrange for the dish, may not for his bread & butter.

So in my next cricket tips blog I'm going to cover the basics on catching.
There's two different types of catches - outfield and infield catches. The only main difference is that outfield catches are higher and require some distance to be covered, whereas infield catches are flatter, faster and require little/any movement at all. However, there is a similarity between catches and that is the positioning of the hands (the most important body part involved in taking a catch - good idea not to forget that). Here are some things to remember:
1. Relax - Keep your hands 'soft'. This will help in preventing the ball caning the palms of your hands which normally result in some sort of excruciating pain and a dropped catch.
2. Give - Give with the ball. As the ball enters your hands it isn't a good idea to just leave your hands where the ball is going to land - this also means pain and a dropped catch. What you want to do is to reduce the amount of force the ball has on your palms, so by bringing the arms towards the body during the catch, you aren't going to feel the full force of a flying cricket ball.
A more aggressive stance is adopted when a batsman has more confidence against a specific bowler, or when the team needs some runs. Much like baseball, turn your body out slightly toward the bowler. Don't turn out as far as baseball, however. The baseball swing is horizontal to the ground, covering more area, whereas a cricket swing is vertical. Instead of driving the ball into the ground, the object is to put more force into your swing and direct the ball to a certain location on the playing field.
Cricket Batting Tips to Take You to The Top
Even world class bowlers have admitted to being overwhelmed when they see a batsman in full swing. So we mortal beings stand no chance but become overwhelmed by a good batting display. There are several cricket batting tips that need to be implemented properly, if a player wants to bat really well in a cricket match. The batsman must have a proper knowledge and idea about all the batting tips that he can catch hold of. The ability of a batsman is ably displayed if he knows all the cricket batting tips. The real test of the character that a batsman goes through is in the test matches, where the batsman needs to stay at the crease as long as possible.
The first and foremost batting tip, which every cricketer needs to follow is proper footwork. Footwork is the most crucial aspect of batting and a batsman must have excellent footwork to play different kinds of shot. In this modern era of fast paced Cricket, still there are lot of players who are well- known for their footwork and sound temperament. Great players like Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar, Brain Lara of West Indies and Ricky Ponting of Australia are renowned all over the world due to their excellent footwork and strokeplay. Apart from these players, the Indian Captain Rahul Dravid has gained the tag of “The Wall” because of his footwork combined with excellent timing. So if you are dreaming of one day becoming like any of these great players, you surely know from where to start now. Well this is just the beginning.
One of the major advantages of having a good footwork is that it allows you to time the ball very well and place the ball perfectly in the gaps. Work really hard on your footwork if you want to perfect the art of batting and hit different types of shot. Timing of your shots also becomes perfect if you have a good and proper footwork and sound technique.
A batsman must have the ideal grip to be able to play all the strokes properly. The ideal grip on the bat must be both the hands together at the handle of the bat. Make sure that your grip is neither too loose nor too tight. The correct grip allows you to bat with flair and also does not restrict you in playing any of the shots. So take care of the grip you have and see if you need to make any correction in your existing grip. Maybe the grip is that thing which is not working out properly for your batting.
Batting is one of the most exciting components of a cricket match. One way of perfecting your batting is through playing each ball according to its merit. It is not possible every time for a bowler to ball six good balls in an over and also it is very rare that you will receive six bad balls in an over. Remember it takes only one good ball to get you out. So watch each and every ball very carefully and watch out for balls that may prove for your undoing. Watch out for that ball.

Read here what Sachin told Sanjay Rajan of sportstar (2september 1998): “I was tense. Didn’t know where to begin what to ask.but sir don made us feel easy.he spoke&we listened in awe.”
Sachin Tendulkar: “bradman spoke about present day game.he watches lot of cricket on television, spokeabout the present day game.he said the standard now very high&competitive&the fielding very good.though he loves test cricket.”
Sachin to bradman: What was your initial movement while playing quick bowling &your approach to spinners? Bradman: Fast bowler my initial movement was back-and-across& for the spinners an initial front foot movement. Though not a front-foot commitment. Bradman to sachin: If you moved before the ball left the bowlers hand.
Sachin: I don’t know. Bradman:I think you do. you begin your movement before the bowler bowls, otherwise you wouldn’t have the time to play the kind of shots you do.
Bradman to sachin: Did you have any coach? Sachin: I have had 3 caoches.1in school,1at state level & 1 at the test level.
Bradman: I didn’t think you were coached because anybody who’s been through coaches is told to play with the left elbow pointed towards modoff.you don’t do that.i didn’t do that.that gives you the flexibility to play in any direction anywhere.
Sachin to Bradman: what was your mental preparation before the big match?
Bradman's answer surprised Sachin: I would work in office between 7and 10 in the morning, play the match & go back to work again. Bradman repeated once again his observation that sachin was the best batsman In the world at the moment.&the closeste in style to the way he himself had played.he thought that a many contemporarybatsman.lara took more risks.
Warne agreed: “Yes,he takes more risks.i think I can get him outanytime I want.he has so many openings but with sachin tendulkar the problem is that there are no opening.he can spot the length of a delivery better than any other human being. Before leaving Sachin told bradman India was scheduled to play a series in Australia in 1999 To which bradman said hopefully I should be able to come & watch.
